4th Grade News
Dear families,
We have been learning so much throughout this week. Students are writing realistic fiction stories based on their small moments and personal ideas, with well developed characters that have feelings and struggles. In Math, students have been using different strategies to multiply such as open number line, ration tables, and tile arrays. We are eager to see how our students grow this week into powerful scholars! Our 4th Graders will start Map Testing this coming Monday, Aug. 26th. We encourage our learners to have a rested night and a healthy breakfast.
If you need to contact us, we are available through our emails. We are here to support your child to grow into independent and responsible learners.

Creating and Developing Stories that Feel Real
What readers & writers are doing at school...
Students are learning how to write a true story by thinking, touching, telling, sketching, and finally, writing. Adding twin sentences, planning stories with structure in mind, and identifying small moments, are some examples of strategies that our fourth graders will be using this week. In addition, they will work hard in developing and creating characters (main and secondary) that feel real.
