Dear families,
What a great start for this school year! Students have already created their classroom contracts, started working through multiplication and are reading and writing in both Spanish and English. Please open the following link to find the permission slip from our ANS Library. Find below our next week's learning focus. 4A remains with swimming class. Please send a medical note in case your child can't attend Swimming Class. Have a restful weekend.

This next week, students will create and develop stories and characters that feel real. They will learn that fiction writers get ideas for stories from small moments in their lives, developing believable characters who encounter struggles and motivation.

Multiplicative Thinking
Students will use tile arrays to investigate factors of numbers and determine whether numbers are prime or composite. They consider multiplication fact strategies introduced in third grade and use open number lines, ratio tables, and the area model to review them

Science -Make observations and/or measurements to provide evidence of the effects of weathering or the rate of erosion by water, ice, wind, or vegetation.
Our students will learn how and why Erosion is affecting different areas of our ANS campus. They will be learning about the cause and effects of erosion and will be collecting data through experiments and observations.
