Our Readers will conclude their Reading Unit by analyzing the author's craft and studying how Nonfiction Authors achieve their goals. For example, when authors want to build tension in a narrative story, they slow down the action, add inner thinking and descriptive thinning, and more.

Students will review and investigate the relationship between decimals and fractions with different denominators. Students will work on the last module of the unit. Students will reinforce the relationship between decimals and fractions with denominators of tenth and hundredths. Students are all invited to investigate the connection between decimals and other common fractions including halves, fourths, fifths, and twentieths.
