Dear Kindergarten Families,
What an amazing week we have had in Kindergarten! The children had an absolute blast during Spirit Week, their excitement, creativity, and school pride shined each day. Thank you for helping them participate and for making it such a fun and memorable experience. We also want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for putting together a wonderful end-of-semester celebration with the kids. They enjoyed it to the fullest!
We also celebrated the completion of our second expedition, “From Seed to Plant.” Please take a moment to read the following Expedition Letter for more details about the children’s learning journey and accomplishments. Our next unit of study will be “Stories We Tell.”
As we approach the holiday break, we encourage our Tigers to keep the spirit of learning alive by reading, writing, exploring science, and practicing math skills. The holiday season offers countless opportunities for family discovery and fun educational experiences! Here is a great Reading Bingo that you can enjoy doing over the holiday break
Wishing you and your family a restful and joyful Christmas holiday. Your support throughout this wonderful semester has been invaluable, we couldn’t have done it without you!

Relationship Skills: Developing Positive Relationships
A positive classroom climate is supported when all students feel accepted and welcomed by everyone. Unfortunately, there can be a number of reasons why children choose to explicitly or subtly exclude their peers. This makes it important for students to understand others’ perspectives, showing concern for others to feel included and not excluded. In this lesson, students will learn strategies to include others by playing a game in which they get to change the rules so that everyone can continue to play.
Discuss each of these questions to help tigers recall the lesson and think about their learning: How would you feel if you were left out of something others were doing? How can you make sure you include others?
