1st Grade News

Dear Tiger Parents,

Our Compassionate First graders are putting their skills to the test everyday when reading and writing. They are looking closely at words, discovering long vowel in words and noticing the work the silent- e does. They are always on the lookout for imposters that dont follow the rule. Mathemagicians are thinking about doubles and even numbers and how to figure out if a number is even or odd. Tigers are noticing patterns on the shapes pictograph in number corner, making sure to determine quantities and compare the numbers using mathematical language, like greater than, less than and equal to. This week make sure to be on the lookout for the Friday Feedback folder, take your time to talk to your child and celebrate and reflect on their feedback.
