What readers & writers are doing at school...
We are launching a new Writing Unit where our students will read with more intensity, and we will equip them with tools they need to write expository essays that advance an idea about a piece of literature. We will start by teaching the value of close reading of complex text by noticing details in a text such as the setting, objects, words, metaphors and characters selected by the author.
