Phonics: Students will keep tackling challenging words carefully, slowly and methodically. This time, they will solve words with consonant - le. They will also start a new bend in the unit where they will be learning and reading words that contain consonant combinations such as kn, wr, and gn. Break up the following words with the ending -le. Remember to do it carefully, slowly and methodically using the strategies learned in class: dribble, candle, cradle, staple, battle, title. 

Los lectores en esta última unidad además de seguir investigando el significado de las palabras claves (desconocidas), para pensar y hablar sobre el tema, hacen crecer sus conocimientos a través de la lectura de textos informativos que contengan informaciones relacionadas.

Encontrar palabras claves en el texto y buscar su significado de acuerdo al contexto de la página.

Leer libros con información relacionada y hacerse preguntas como lector y responder:

1. ¿Por qué creo que se relacionan?

2. ¿En qué parte se relacionan?

3. ¿Cómo puede ayudarme la información de un libro en el otro libro’? ¿Cómo podría unirlas?

4. Si uniera la información de ambos libros, ¿Qué información podría yo contar con mis propias palabras? ¿Podría dar un nombre a la información que relacione de ambos textos?

Social Studies: Next week will be the last one about symbols. Then, we will switch to science. Students will keep learnng about what symbols and they represent. 

Students can create a symbol at home that represents their family. 

The counselor tells a short story with puppets, describing how two characters think, feel and what they are doing in the school situation. Counselor emphasizing that characters can use helpful thoughts (positive affirmations) to face challenges and achieve goals. After that, They work in groups to observe pictures and understand what the character thinks, feels and is doing in different situations.

When you read a book with your child Think about a character in a book or show that had a strong emotion. Draw what happened. How did the character’s feelings affect their thoughts and actions? Would you have responded in the same way?
