Our Essayists will have their first Writing Celebration this upcoming Tuesday. Please help them during this weekend to finish their first essay publication. We will be celebrating each other’s growth by having a mini gallery walk and using a Peer Feedback chart!

Our Essayists will work harder to raise the quality of their Literary Essay by learning how to write introductions and conclusions using the language of Literary Scholars. In addition, they will look at all sides of a text and form complex ideas, adding depth to their writing.

Los lectores observarán como los personajes secundarios interactúan con los personajes principales y pensaran en las razones del por qué, considerando que los personajes secundarios se conectan con un tema. También identificarán el mensaje de vida, haciendo ensayos mentales para desarrollar una gran idea. ( esta historia me enseña … y luego la apoyas … Me enseña esto en esta parte … en esta parte … )

Los lectores pueden leer durante 25 minutos, un libro ficción de su preferencia, identificando los cambios del personaje y por qué cambió.

Mathematics

Learning Goal

Students will be able to explore benchmarks and relative sizes for length, time , liquid volume, mass, and weight.

What mathematicians are doing at school...

Students will identify equivalent amounts of time and convert units of time. They will review the concept of elapsed time and model how to solve problems on a number line. Furthermore, students will create benchmarks for 1 milliliter and 1 liter, and they will explore grams, kilograms, ounces and pounds. They will solve problems in which they will use conversion strategies.

It’s important to learn how we can stop bullying behavior and make sure everyone feels valued and is treated fairly. In this lesson, we will discuss and role-play different ways we can respond when we experience or see bullying situations in order to make sure everyone feels safe and valued.
