Author's Notes: After the awesomeness that was last week's episode, I couldn't resist writing this little extension. I was hoping to have had it finished sooner but I've got relatives staying with me at the moment and they're taking up all of my time. So unfair! ;)

Lying beside his beautiful, currently fast asleep wife, Nathan didn't want to give in to the tiredness he was feeling after the long, leisurely lovemaking session they'd shared a short time ago. Tomorrow he'd be heading off to camp, away from the two – soon to be three – people he loved the most in the world and he didn't want to waste a moment. He'd always loved watching Haley as she slept and he took even more comfort from it now; seeing her face free of any signs of the recent depression that had threatened to consume her. Hearing her laughter earlier that night had been music to his ears and he hoped to hear it a lot more in the coming weeks and months.

As gently as he could, he swept aside a stray lock of her hair and he bit his lip to stifle his chuckle when she scrunched up her nose.

“I can feel you watching me,” Haley whispered, her eyes fluttering open a couple of seconds later. Reaching out her hand, she ran her thumb back and forth along his cheekbone and she smiled when he turned his head and pressed a kiss into the centre of her palm. “Why aren't you asleep?”

“I don't want this night to end,” he confessed. Lowering his head, he brushed his lips over hers in an achingly soft, tender kiss.

Rolling over onto her back, she wrapped her arms around his neck, her fingers idly playing with the hair at his nape as he shifted on top of her. “I'm going to miss you so much, baby,” she told him, gasping in blissful pleasure at the feel of him pressing her further down into the firm mattress.

“I'm going to miss you, too.” Slipping his hand between their bodies, Nathan massaged her slight baby bump that had already started to show. “And I'm going to miss you, too, little one.”

Haley's eyes shone with tears at his words and she placed one of her hands over the back of his and gave it a small squeeze. “Nathan...”

Bracing his weight on his forearms, he nuzzled his nose against hers before stealing her lips once more. “I can't believe we're having another baby,” he said, his smile stretching from ear to ear.

“Me either.” Her smile matched his own and she couldn't help the giggle that escaped. “After everything we've been through lately, it... it feels like a dream.”

“Yeah, it does... a really great dream except it's real and I couldn't be happier, Hales.”

She beamed up at him. “How do you think Jamie will react when we tell him?”

Remembering the conversation he'd had with their son not that long ago, he knew he'd be absolutely fine with the news. “The boy will be just as happy as we are, I know it.” Sobering for a moment, he repeated his earlier question to her, “You're really feeling okay?”

Nodding, she replied, “I told you, I feel like me and I feel like yours.” Cupping his face, Haley drew him in for another, much longer kiss and she gasped as the entire length of his body rubbed against her own, sending delicious little shockwaves through her entire being. Wrapping her legs around his hips and crossing her ankles at the small of his back, she brought him in even closer to where she wanted to feel him the most and in response to the curious look he was giving her, she said, “What? I figured if you're not going to fall asleep any time soon...”

“I love the way you think,” he quipped, flashing her a smirk.

“Mmm, I thought you might.”

Nathan knew they'd both be paying the price tomorrow for their extremely late night but he wouldn't be regretting it for a second and he was pretty sure Haley wouldn't either. Some things were just worth staying up for.
