Next Week - What to Bring

Monday (Movie - AM, Field Day - PM)

What to bring:

• Comfortable clothes & shoes for field day

• Sunscreen

• Water bottle

• Towel

• Change of clothes *optional

• Swimsuit under clothes *optional

• Pillow and/or blanket (for movie)

• Yearbook (and a pen)

• Backpack

• NO CHROMEBOOKS NEEDED

• Lunch provided by PTA (pizza, chips, cookie, drink)

Tuesday (5th Grade Kickball Game & Board Game Palooza)

What to bring:

• Comfortable clothes & shoes (for playing kickball)

• Sunscreen

• Water bottle

• NO CHROMEBOOKS NEEDED

• Backpack

• Games: board, card, & dice

• Bring your lunch or plan to order in the cafeteria

Wednesday (Parr Park Field Trip)

What to bring:

• Games: board, card, & dice

• NO CHROMEBOOKS NEEDED

• Backpack

• Sunscreen

• Water bottle

• Towel (only if using water elements @ park)

• Swimsuit under clothes (optional) *girls must wear a one-piece

• 5th grade field trip shirt

• Any sports equipment you want to carry and take on the trip

• *PTA providing 3 slices of pizza & Skinny Pop to every student (unless you indicated your child is bringing their own lunch)

Thursday (5th Grade Celebrations - HALF DAY)

What to bring:

• Early dismissal @ 11:45

• Come dressed in nice clothes for graduation

• Change of clothes for outdoor activities

• Water bottle

• Sunscreen

• Backpack

• NO CHROMEBOOKS NEEDED

5th Grade Parr Park Field Trip

We will be going to Parr Park next week on Wednesday, May 21st. We plan on leaving school around 9:00 and walking to the park. We will be there from about 9:15(ish) - 1:30 and then head back to Glenhope. As a reminder, PTA is providing pizza & Skinny Pop for students (unless you indicated your child is bringing their lunch). 

What Students Need to Bring

1. Students will still need to bring their backpacks and devices to school on Wednesday.

2. Please have students wear comfortable shoes.

3. Students need to wear their 5th-grade field trip shirt.

4. Students need to bring their own water bottles.

5. Please have your child wear sunscreen!

6. Students are allowed to play with the water elements at the park; if they plan to do so, they need to bring a towel and wear a swimsuit under their clothes (one piece for girls).

7. If students want to bring their own equipment to the park (ex: soccer ball), they may do so but will need to carry it and keep track of it!

What Chaperones Need to Bring & Know

1. Chaperones will need to bring their own lunch and drink.

2. Wear comfortable shoes & sunscreen

3. We are typically all at the main part of the park and can see most areas from that section; if a group of students wants to go to the baseball diamond or walk a trail, they will need to have an adult with them.
