This week, we continued our unit in Geometry. We focused on 3-d shapes this week. Part of this unit will include spatial awareness which in geometry is the ability to understand and visualize the position, orientation, and relationships between shapes and objects in space. Later in the unit we will focus on fractions.
In reading, we continued our nonfiction unit and finished up our nonfiction text feature study. Students are enjoying reading some nonfiction encyclopedias and atlases as well! In writing, we began our nonfiction writing unit and students are choosing a topic they know a lot about to teach others.Â
In science we continued our unit on bodies of weather. Â
