We had a great week in first grade, as we welcomed this years chicks. It has been an exciting 3 weeks learning abou their life cycle, candling eggs and anticipating their arrival. 🐣

This week in math we began our unit on Financial Literacy. We will be discussing spending, saving, investing, wants, needs and coins with values. We will focus on counting by the value of coins but also will practice counting mixed coins for those who are ready.

In ELAR we will continue to work on writing, spelling and reading of our high frequency words as well as retelling what we are reading to practice comprehension.
