Curriculum 

Reading & Language Arts: 

• I can evaluate my writing to set goals for the next 4 weeks

• I can demonstrate my knowledge of new vocabulary and spelling words.

• I can apply critical thinking skills when annotating the short story, "There Will Come Soft Rains" by Ray Bradbury.

• I can analyze a poem to understand its relevance to the short story we are reading.

5th Grade Math: 

• I can create dot plots and can write and answer analysis questions for the dot plots I create. 

• I can create stem and leaf plots and can write and answer analysis questions for the stem and leaf plots I create. 

• I can create and analyze scatter plot graphs.

• I can collect real-world data and input it into a frequency table.

Science: 

• I can observe and describe how a variety of organisms survive by interacting with biotic and abiotic factors in a healthy ecosystem.

• I can predict the effects of changes in an ecosystem caused by ecosystem disasters.

• I can differentiate between trace fossils and body fossils as well as terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems.

Social Studies:

• I can demonstrate my knowledge about the Midwest States and Capitals of the U.S. 

• I can apply reading comprehension skills when learning about the U.S Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

• I can determine my choices for a project, to show mastery about the U.S. Constitution.
