New and returning students can register for the 2025-2026 school year.
GCISD is in the planning stages for the 2025-2026 school year. It is important for you to register your child as soon as possible, as it will affect the number of teachers retained on every campus in the district. Thank you!
Please note our STAAR testing dates below. On testing days, Glenhope is closed to visitors so please keep that in mind. Additionally, we would appreciate you not scheduling any appointments on these days, as students will have to miss class time during the testing window to make up the STAAR testing they missed. If they miss a STAAR exam, they will have to spend an entire day of school when they return to make that test up.

We will be taking all 5th ASPIRE students to CTMS on Wednesday, May 7th for a field trip. All 6th, 7th, and 8th ASPIRE students/teachers will be there to greet us as well as answer questions/do activities with us. The purpose of this field trip is to help our 5th ASPIRE students feel more comfortable with their transition to middle school ASPIRE at CTMS.
We plan to leave Glenhope after first period around 8:55 a.m. We will be at CTMS until about 11:15 before returning back to Glenhope. 5th ASPIRE students will still have recess and lunch on this day and our afternoon schedule will remain our normal schedule. **If your child takes math at CTMS zero hour, they will still have math on this day. They will not get on the bus and return to Glenhope after class, but instead, wait until we arrive and ride back with us at 11:30. If your child takes math at CTMS second period, they will not have math on this day. **
Field trip permission slip, consent & release, and emergency form are due back by Wednesday, April 30th.
If your child misplaced their forms, they are linked below:

Hayes/Weinstein Community Service Photos (keep scrolling!)
We have a goal this year for all 5th-grade students (and teachers) to complete 12 hours of community service outside of the school day by the end of the year (6 hours per semester). Students who achieve 6 hours by December 13, 2024, and an additional 6 hours by May 9, 2025, will receive a party to celebrate their achievements. When your child completes community service, please be sure they are logging their time in the Google Form linked below. We have hung a tracker poster (pictured here to the left) in the 5th-grade hallway to track the hours completed as the school year progresses. We cannot wait to see the tracker fill up!
SO FAR, 5TH GRADE STUDENTS ARE OVER 600 HOURS FOR THIS SEMESTER!
Also, if you snap photos of your child during their community service, please send them our way! We would love to see the work they are doing. We have included some of the photos we have received so far (to the right). It makes our hearts so happy to see students volunteering in their community!
