PoeTREE: Students will use figurative language and literary devices that we have learned to create poeTREES.
Next Week: We will continue to work with multiplication and division to solve one and two-step problems.
Please try and work on multiplication facts at home. Having those memorized helps multiplying multi-digit numbers and division.

Unit 4 Assessment - December 18th
This Week : We finished past environments and fossil evidence including a virtual interview with a palentologist, an assignment over tools of paleontology, and deepened our understanding of dinosaurs and the fossil record.
Next Week : We will review and prepare for our science unit test (over everything this 9 weeks : structures/functions of plants, inherited/acquired traits, food webs, producers/consumers, and fossils) on Wednesday, Dec. 18th.
This Week : We will cover Texas's road to statehood, Manifest Destiny, and the Mexican-American War. We will study and compare map data from the time period to understand the impact of Texas statehood on America. We will write a persuasive paragraph to the President of the Republic of Texas saying why Texas should or should not become a state based on the events after Texas became a republic.
Next Week : We will review important figures of Texas and their contributions to the Republic to prepare for our Social Studies unit test (over the Republic of Texas and Important Figures) on Tuesday, December 17th.
Now that we are about half way through the year, some of our supplies are getting a little low. We appreciate anything you are able to donate to our classes!
Skinny Pop, Veggie straws, Pencils, Clorox wipes, Eraser Toppers
Classroom teachers are limited in what snacks they can provide here at school to students. Due to the various allergies on campus, teachers can have Veggie Straws or Skinny Pop (both regular flavor) as classroom snacks.
Most students bring their own snacks daily, but occasionally some forget, which is why we like to have some on hand. We would appreciate anyone who is able to send in snack-sized bags of Veggie Straws (sea salt) or Skinny Pop.
