EXPERT JOURNAL PRESENTATION SCHEDULE
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD COMES TO SCHOOL READY TO PRESENT ON HIS/HER DAY WITH 2 ADDITIONAL VISUAL AIDS. THE SCHEDULE IS TIGHT AND WE DO NOT HAVE TIME TO RESCHEDULE.
Reading & Language Arts:
I can create a slideshow presentation over my Expert Journal topic.
I can show my understanding of grammar rules and apply them in my writing.
I can use my knowledge of root words to determine the meaning of unknown words.
Math:
I can identify different ways people earn money, like working at a job or starting a business.
I can explain how people earn income by working or providing a service.
I can list reasons why people save money and explain how a savings plan helps reach a goal.
I can identify the good and bad consequences of making planned or unplanned choices with money.
Science:
I can explain how changes in temperature and precipitation affect how animals grow and behave.
I can describe why some animals migrate to survive when the weather changes.
I can describe how some animals hibernate to survive cold temperatures and less food.
I can explain how plants respond to cold weather by going into dormancy.)
I can identify patterns in nature that show how living things respond to seasonal changes.
Social Studies:
I can research a historical figure and complete a book report project over that person's life, character, and accomplishments.
