EXPERT JOURNAL PRESENTATION SCHEDULE
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CHILD COMES TO SCHOOL READY TO PRESENT ON HIS/HER DAY WITH 2 ADDITIONAL VISUAL AIDS. THE SCHEDULE IS TIGHT AND WE DO NOT HAVE TIME TO RESCHEDULE.
Reading & Language Arts:
I can create a slideshow presentation over my Expert Journal topic.
I can show my understanding of grammar rules and apply them in my writing.
Math:
I can explain the difference between fixed expenses (like rent) and variable expenses (like groceries).
I can identify examples of planned and unplanned spending.
I can explain the importance of making a budget.
I can describe the benefits of using a budget to plan my spending and saving.
I can explain the difference between credit and debit.
I can describe the risks of borrowing money.
Science:
I can identify and describe the parts of a food chain, including the sun, producers, consumers, and decomposers.
I can explain how energy moves through a food chain.
I can describe what might happen if one part of a food chain is removed.
I can identify how changes in the environment (like floods or droughts) can affect plants and animals.
I can identify fossils as evidence of plants and animals that lived long ago.
I can explain how fossils help us learn about past environments.
Social Studies:
I can research a historical figure and complete a book report project over that person's life, character, and accomplishments.
