Unit 4 Assessment - December 18th
This Week : We finished food webs, producers, and consumers with a journal entry showing the flow of energy through an ecosystem. We conducted a group project researching a dinosaur that lived in Texas.
Next Week : We will finish past environments and fossil evidence and prepare for our science unit test (over everything this 9 weeks : structures/functions of plants, inherited/acquired traits, food webs, producers/consumers, and fossils) on Wednesday, Dec. 18th.
This Week : We learned about Texas as a Republic, its successes and failures, important figures (Jose Antonio Navarro, Sam Houston, Mirabeau B Lamar, and Anson Jones) and the Texas Rangers as Texas moved towards statehood.
Next Week : We will cover Texas's road to statehood, Manifest Destiny, and the Mexican-American War. We will study and compare map data from the time period to understand the impact of Texas statehood on America.
