Dear Parents,
We know that many of us have be under the weather these last few weeks. We hope that you all remain healthy. We can always sit with your children and catch them up on what they have missed. It's more important that everyone is feeling good and ready to learn!
Valentine's Day is fast approaching!
Please have your child bring Valentines to share with classmates by February 12th. They can just be addressed to "my friend" instead of a specific name. This helps as they distribute them. They can also bring little toys or candy treats, but please no nuts. Also, if you have any extra Valentine’s themed stickers that you’re willing to donate, please have your child bring them in by Monday, February 10th! We will use these to decorate our bags. Lastly, our class Valentine Parties are on Thursday, February 13th from 1-2. You are welcome to attend! Have a wonderful weekend!
Love,
Mrs. Blackwell, Mrs. Cohen and Mrs. Sifford

Request for LEGO Donations for LEGO Club
We are looking to enhance our LEGO Club by incorporating LEGO bricks into our lessons and activities for kindergarten through second grade.
We would greatly appreciate it if you would consider donating any unused or unwanted LEGO sets or pieces that you may have at home. These donations will be used primarily for STEM challenges. No contribution is too small, and any LEGO pieces—whether large or small, complete or partial—would be incredibly helpful.
If you have any LEGO pieces you’re willing to part with, please send them in with your child or feel free to drop them off in the foyer with Lego Club or Mrs. Griffard labeled on them. If you have any questions or would like more details, don’t hesitate to reach out.
Thank you so much for your support and generosity. We’re excited to see the creativity and learning that will come from this project!
Please pack one NUT FREE snack for your child every day in their backpacks. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide snacks for the class.
A green note when home with your children in their Take Home Folders this week. This is simply to let you know that we understand that the mornings can sometimes be a challenge for students. Sometimes they are anxious or sad about something at home. Sometimes their allergies are giving them trouble. Sometimes they simply are exhausted and need a little extra love and hugs from us. We get it and want to best support your child. If you find that your child is having one of these mornings, please just send us an email and all that you need to say is "Handle with care". We will get the message and be sure to give your child extra support and understanding that day.
Our planning time is from 2:15 - 3:00pm each day.
