This week in math, we continued our new unit on geometry and fractions . We have been learning about 2D shapes and their attributes, shapes within shapes and regular/irregular shapes. We will soon begin studying 3D shapes and look for shapes outside of school in the real world. 

In reading we are continuing with Module 6 but also reviewing some of the processes from the year, as we get back into the swing of things after several days off.

Please take time to read with your child each day. We are focused on fluency and very often we see improvement with repeated reading of the same material. 

We are talking about weather patterns in science, which is a perfect topic given our interesting weather as of late.
