Glenhope's Open House is next Thursday, March 6th. Last names A-L have been asked to come from 6:00-6:30 and M-Z from 6:30-7:00. We'd love to see you, so if the designated time for your last name doesn't work, please come whenever!

Reading & Language Arts:
I can understand a prefix and how it affects the meaning of a word.
I can understand a suffix and how it affects the meaning of a word.
I can understand author's purpose.
I can apply strategies to examine the author’s purpose.
I can construct an extended response to a passage.
I can use my knowledge of root words to determine the meaning of unknown words.
I can identify and gather relevant information from a variety of sources.
3rd Grade Math:
I can identify and create multiples of a number by using skip counting, repeated addition, and multiplication.
I can represent and solve a two step problem involving multiplication and division.
Science:
I can identify the order of the planets in Earth's solar system in relation to the Sun.
Social Studies:
I can identify individuals who have started new businesses.
Below is a video that tells the story of Jonah, who has a hard time sitting still and in turn, taught himself to crochet. He now teaches others in his school community to crochet and has a crochet business! Many of our ASPIRE students have this type of drive and initiative. What a great message it is for them to harness their creative instincts and use them to make change in the world!
We are excited to announce a three-week summer camp opportunity for GT students who will be entering grades 3-5 in the fall called DECATS! Space is limited, so be sure to register soon if you are interested. Miss Hayes, Mr. Henrickson, Mrs. Griffard, and Mr. Parthemore (all Glenhope teachers) will be mentor teachers for all three weeks as well as some other wonderful teachers. Congratulations to Colleyville Heritage and Grapevine high school students who competed at the Fort Worth Regional Science and Engineering Fair Monday, February 24, and had 12 projects advance to state competition.
