IPAD RETURN ON MAY 15TH
On May 15th, 2nd grade students' iPads and chargers will be collected. On that day, please make sure your child brings both their iPad and their district-issued charger with cable (Apple brand).
If your child has lost their charger or cable, please refer to the link below with instructions on how to purchase an Apple-brand official replacement. Note that non-Apple chargers, or chargers not matching this iPad, will not be accepted.
The correct items are: (1) Apple 20W USB-C charging plug, (2) Apple USB-C to Lightning cable, 1 meter length.

Please remove all stickers from the iPad cases. iPads will not be accepted until all stickers have been removed, as students were told when they received their iPads not to put stickers on them. Peeling off the stickers can take some time, so starting now will help to avoid taking up any more time to wait for students to remove them.
Rising 3rd graders will be issued Chromebooks when they return to school in the Fall.
*Mrs. Sifford's Class should plan on bringing their ipads and chargers Monday, May 12th and just leaving them at school until the 15th.
****Our classes will enjoy Pillow, Book and Snack that afternoon! They will cuddle with their pillows, a good book (one from home, or one of mine) and a snack!****

GCISD is in the planning stages for the 2025-2026 school year. It is important for you to register your child as soon as possible, as it will affect the number of teachers retained on every campus in the district. Thank you!

On May 16th, Mrs. Canafax has planned an amazing Career Day for our students to hear about and learn from others in our community. After our speakers are over, we are going to have some time to play board games in our classes. If your child would like to bring a board game to play, they may! Please make sure your child's name is on the box and your child knows the contents of the game, how to play the game and how to set it all up!
*Students can also bring a second snack to eat while playing games!
Wed, May 14th - College Spirit Day
Thursday, May 15th - Device/Charger Turn in! -Pillow, Book and Snack!
*Bring Pillow, Book (we have some!) and a snack
Friday, May 16th - Career Day/ Board Games and Extra Snack
*Bring a board game and an extra snack
Monday, May 19th - Glow Gator Games (Field Day) K-2 in the AM, 3-5 in the PM. *More information to come!
*Wear your Gator Orange Shirt and sneakers.
Tuesday, May 20th - FORT DAY
*Bring Flashlights, Large sheets (Blankets can be too heavy), and a stuffy. Extra Snacks are optional
Thursday, May 22nd - LAST DAY of school - Dismissal at 11:45am.
*Please make sure your child knows whether they are eating lunch at school or after school at home!
*If you are willing and want to provide some extra snacks for our classrooms during these last 10 days, please reach out to Mrs. Sifford - Samantha.sifford@gcisd.net

Handle With Care
A green note when home with your children in their Take Home Folders this week. This is simply to let you know that we understand that the mornings can sometimes be a challenge for students. Sometimes they are anxious or sad about something at home. Sometimes their allergies are giving them trouble. Sometimes they simply are exhausted and need a little extra love and hugs from us. We get it and want to best support your child. If you find that your child is having one of these mornings, please just send us an email and all that you need to say is "Handle with care". We will get the message and be sure to give your child extra support and understanding that day.
Please remind your students that toys must stay at home. Toys, lip gloss, stuffies, and trading cards are not allowed at school, unless otherwise specified by teachers. Thank you!
