If you are able to send in a bag of mints that we can pass out during testing that would be appreciated! Thank you to everyone who has already sent some in. :)
A pink letter was sent home last week with information regarding our Valentine's Day classroom exchange and student created boxes. Use the link below if you need access to this information. Thank you in advance for your help!
We have a Valentines Party Activity called "Guess That Baby" where students will get to see baby pictures of their classmates and they try to guess who it is. We need your help by sending in a cute digital baby picture. Pictures where your child is between the ages of 6 months-2 years work great. We will display the baby pictures in a slideshow during our Valentines Party on February 13th. Please email the picture to your child's homeroom teacher by Friday, February 7th. Thank you in advance for your help!

Next Week: We will begin our new unit over data analysis. We will discuss representing data using frequency tables and dot plots and end the week by using this data to solve problems.
Please try and work on multiplication facts at home. Having those memorized helps multiplying multi-digit numbers and division.
Math Interim (Practice STAAR) - January 28th
This Week : We moved from Earth to space and discover the moon and it's phases. Students learned why the moon looks like it changes shape daily and conducted an experiment to demonstrate this phenomena. We also researched traditional names of full moons and why they change by seasons.
Next Week : We will finish moon phases and begin patterns of change (water cycle and the sun). We will explore why the water cycle occurs and how it relates to other recurring themes and patterns we can observe in science.
This Week : We learned about important documents in Texas history. These included treaties, charters, constitutions, and the declaration of independence. We completed an assignment analyzing Texas's state constitution.
Next Week : We will discover the US Declaration and Constitution and how they are similar to the Texas documents. We will complete an assignment about ratifying amendments and explore the Bill of Rights.
