On March 6, 1836, Mexican troops under President Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna defeated the Texan defenders at the Alamo in San Antonio.
The battle began on February 23, 1836, and lasted 13 days.
Every Texan defender died in the battle, including William Barret Travis, Jim Bowie, and Davy Crockett.
Thank you to everyone who made it out to Open House last night. We loved seeing you all!
Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer us on today. It is always such a fun event and the children loved seeing you here! Thank you for all your support!
Just a reminder that any late assignments need to be turned in the Tuesday before the grading period ends, which is Tuesday, March 11th. Late assignments not turned in by that due date will receive a grade of zero. Thank you.
We are completey out of snacks and mints! Sometimes I think these kids are bottomless pits!
Please remember to pack a snack or two each day in case we have none to offer.
If you would like, we could use more Veggie Straws and/or Skinny Pop Original and Red/Green Peppermints!!
Only YOU can prevent HANGRY 4th Graders!!
Thank you-

There are still materials on our list that are very much needed, which we have noted with a "highest" or "high" priority. For example, every classroom will need 3-4 blacklight bars for the day to really be "Glow Day." The 4th grade wish list is below. We are very excited to provide this day of learning for students!
