Please note our remaining STAAR testing date below. On testing days, Glenhope is closed to visitors so please keep that in mind. Additionally, we would appreciate you not scheduling any appointments on test days, as students will have to miss class time during the testing window to make up the STAAR testing they missed. If they miss a STAAR exam, they will have to spend an entire day of school when they return to make that test up.
Please make sure Chromebooks are fully charged on these days. Also, please send the chargers to school just in case.

Reading & Language Arts:
I can create a slideshow presentation over my Expert Journal topic.
I can show my understanding of grammar rules and apply them in my writing.
I can use my knowledge of root words to determine the meaning of unknown words.
Math:
I can identify and name 3D shapes like spheres, cones, cylinders, cubes, rectangular prisms, and triangular prisms.
I can describe 3D shapes using their attributes, such as number of faces, edges, and vertices.
I can sort and classify 3D shapes based on their characteristics.
I can use geometric language (like face, edge, and vertex) to explain what makes each 3D shape unique.
Science:
I can explain how changes in temperature and precipitation affect how animals grow and behave.
I can describe why some animals migrate to survive when the weather changes.
I can describe how some animals hibernate to survive cold temperatures and less food.
I can explain how plants respond to cold weather by going into dormancy.)
I can identify patterns in nature that show how living things respond to seasonal changes.
Social Studies:
I can research a historical figure and complete a book report project over that person's life, character, and accomplishments.
