Unit 4 Review Class 12-2

Post date: Dec 01, 2011 4:59:9 PM

Hi All,

Want to talk about the Middle Ages? It looks like a lot of you are finishing up with Unit 4 so I thought a Unit Review Class is in order. The period covered in Unit 4 is basically 500-100, which is the collapse of Rome through the High Middle Ages in Europe. The lessons do a nice job giving you the global perspective with coverage of the Tang Dynasty in China, Oceania, etc, so I think my main focus for this unit review will be Europe and Eurasia because this era is also considered the beginning of the Age of Faith, a time when religion created the foundation for two great world empires: Christendom in Europe and the Islamic Empire in Southwest Asia and Africa. This is what I want to focus on when I cover this era. I will host this live class at 10:00 am MT on Friday, 12-2 at the following link: http://tinyurl.com/Trehal-s-Office. Special Project Credit: Attendance in this class counts as 50/100 points for your Unit 4 Special Project Assignment. I love talking about Feudalism and the Middle Ages because it was so different than the world we live in today. Hope to see you in class on Friday.

If you were unable to attend the live version of this class you may still earn points by watching the recording and answering the following question: How do I say that Charlemagne affected written language? To get credit for watching the recording, submit the date you watched the recording and the answer to this question to the Unit 4 Special Project. You can watch the recording by clicking on the following link: View the Blackboard Collaborate recording.

Sincerely,

Trehal
