US Constitution and Federalism

I will be hosting a live class at 1:00 pm MT on Wednesday, 4-18 on the topic of the US Constitution and Federalism. The United States government as we know it was created during the summer of 1787 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, our nation's first Capital. The Constitutional Convention focused on the form of the new government, creating a system of checks and balances for the branches of this government, and how power would be shared between the state and federal government. The men creating the system were passionate about their beliefs and represented various viewpoints, so several compromises were made that would later become historic, and when they were finished they produced one of the best-written political documents in the history of man. In this class, we will go over the established branches of government, the great compromises, and the system of federalism. Project Credit: Attendance in this live class will fulfill the requirements of your live class assignment for this unit.
