Hi All,

If you want to understand the economic world we live in this documentary series is for you:

Commanding Heights: The Battle for the World Economy, Episode 1

Want to learn more about globalization or about the economy we live in today? Commanding Heights is a three part mini-series done by PBS based on a best-selling book by two leading economists of the same name. The subject of this series is the battle of market forces and governments for control of the world economy, a battle that has gone on for the last 100 years. Episode 1, The Battle of Ideas begins with the ideas of the two most important economists of the twentieth century, John Maynard Keynes and Friedrich von Hayek, and documents the history of the global economy from the end of WWI up through the early 1980's. It's hard to categorize whether this series is primarily economic or historical, but these films are profound and if you wan to understand the global macroeconomy, Commanding Heights is the series to watch. This film and the two others blew my mind.
