Agricultural and Commercial Revolutions

Hi All,

I will be hosting a class at 10:00 am MT on Fri, 2-24 on the topic of the European Agricultural and Commercial Revolutions of the 17th and 18th century. Beginning in the 17th century, Europe's economy began to swing up so quickly that the phenomenon later came to be known as the "Commercial Revolution". During this time, business boomed and Europe's banking houses grew great and powerful. At the same time, farmers like Jethro Tull and Charles "Turnip" Townshend were practicing revolutionary new techniques that would eventually cause Europe to be the most productive continent on Earth. Both farming and monetary systems were revolutionized in the 17th century in Europe, and without the Agricultural and Commercial Revolutions of the 17th and 18th centuries, there would have been no Industrial Revolution in the 19th century. We will explore some of the highlights of this era in class. Project Credit: Attendance in this live class will fulfill the requirements of your live class assignment for this unit.
