The 1970's: A Decade of Crisis

I will host a live class at 10:00 am MT on Thu, 5-10 on the topic of the 1970's. From the Kent State shootings in 1970, to Watergate, to the 1973 Arab Oil Embargo, the Fall of Saigon in 1975, and the Iran Hostage Crisis, during the 1970's American seemed to go from one crisis to the next. Throw in a tough recession that lasted several years where the economy experienced "stagflation" and many of the protest movements of the 1960's turned more violent, and you have the story of a tough decade. In this class we will go over some of the major events of this turbulent decade and discuss their implications.  Project Credit: Attendance in this live class will fulfill the requirements of your live class assignment for this unit.
