1862: Congress Authorizes transcontinental railroad (Pacific Rail Road Act).
1866: National Labor Union Organized.
1869: Transcontinental Railroad joined near Ogen, UT. Knights of Labor Organized.
1870: Standard Oil Company Organized.
1876: Bell invents telephone.
1879: Edison invents electric light.
1886: Haymarket Square Bombing. Wabash case. American Federation of Labor formed.
1887: Interstate Commerce Act.
1890: Sherman Anti-Trust Act.
1901: United States Steel Corporation formed.
