Vietnam Conflict, 1965-1967Want to see what day-to-day combat experience in Vietnam was like for American Soldiers? Episode 4 of Vietnam, a Television HIstory, America Takes Charge documents the story of escalating American military involvement in the Vietnam Conflict from 1965-1967 This episode shows the viewer what the typical combat experience in Vietnam for an American soldier was like, including going on patrol, clearing villages, and fighting the Vietcong or North Vietnamese Army. In 1965, a few hundred American "advisers" were stationed in Vietnam, but by 1967 500,000 troops occupied the nation with no end to the conflict in sight.
