In order to get credit for this project you must watch the following film and submit completed movie worksheet:

American Experience: Freedom Riders

American South, 1962-1963: Want to see what Civil Rights Protesters went through to get laws changed? Freedom Riders is a 2 hour documentary produced as part of PBS's American Experience series that tells the dramatic story of the Freedom Ride Project, a pivotal part of the Civil Rights Movement. From the summer of 1962 to the spring of 1963 several busloads of Civil Rights Protesters boarded Greyhound buses and drove into the Deep South to deliberately break segregation laws and to provoke confrontation with authorities who enforced the "Jim Crow" regime found in this region of the nation. Project Credit: Download the movie worksheet attached here and fill out as you watch the film, then submit filled out worksheet.  I promise you that you won't be disappointed in this film and I found this documentary to be one of the most powerful films I have ever seen in my life. You won't be able to walk away from this one and it may even change you as a person.
