Civil War Unit 4 Essay: The War of Attrition

The War of Attrition

I will be hosting a live class at 1:00 pm MT on Tue, 12-8 in order to go over the following topic: Civil War Unit 4 Essay, the War of Attrition.  Although the South was pretty much doomed after their defeats at Vicksburg and Gettysburg in July of 1863, the Confederacy still had a large army and will to fight. The name of the game in 1864 was to destroy this army and the Confederacy's will to fight, and the principal players were Union generals Grant and Sherman. You will write your unit essay on the war of attrition practiced by the Union army in 1864, and the purpose of this class is to discuss the essay topic and how to organize this essay. Students attending the class will come away with a solid plan of attack for their essay. To get into the class, please click the following link: Trehal's Live Office/Classroom
