Early River Valley Civilizations of the Near East

Hi All,

I will be hosting a class at 10:00 am MT on Wed, 2-15 in order to go over the topic of early river valley civilizations of the Near East. The time: Bronze Age; The place: The Fertile Crescent. The ancient Sumerians are the first to create a pattern of civilization that will be copied by the Hittites, the Babylonians, Assyrians, and eventually the Persians, establishing what historians would later call the "Cunieform World". Meanwhile the Phoenicians created a thriving sea trade and a system to record their business, the Egyptians would create a thriving civilization along the Nile, and the Israelites would bring a new and powerful faith to the world. Welcome to Human Civilization 1.0: the patterns set during this era, in the world's "Cradle of Civilization" would endure and become the framework that future civilizations would build off of. If you attend, you will be surprised how many human inventions and innovations came from this one area and time in history.
