Hi All,

A cool way to get credit for a special project is through watching documentaries that you can access online. The following is a video that aligns with material covered in Unit 4:

Cold War Episode 5: The Korean War

Did you know the Korean War is called the Forgotten War? Consider what you know about this conflict and you might realize why, yet this conflict claimed 54,000 American lives over a two year period of fighting. The Korean War was the first major "hot" war (Vietnam being the second) the US fought against communists enforcing the policy of containment in Asia. Although fairly short lived, the war that began as a local affair ended up being a massive conflict involving the US and 16 allies on the side of South Korea and both China and Russia on the side of North Korea. Episode 6 of the CNN series Cold War documents this war in great detail and is great for anyone interested in learning more about our this forgotten war. Special Project Credit: Download the movie worksheet attached here and fill out as you watch the film, then submit the filled out worksheet to the Unit 4 Special Project Assignment to receive points.
