Who Killed the Electric Car?

Do you think the technology for electric vehicles is just around the corner? Guess again: this technology worked just fine 20 years ago and was much cheaper than conventional internal combustion vehicles. This 2006 Documentary by director Chris Paine describes the story of the EV1, an electric vehicle produced by GM in the 1990's and discontinued in 2004. This fascinating story documents the complex interplay between corporations, governments, and interest groups and does much to illustrate why electric vehicles and alternative energy have not caught on more than they have. Like the Food, Inc. film, this is another story that demonstrates why people become politically active. I promise this is interesting and maybe infuriating to watch. Project Credit: Download the movie worksheet attached here and submit filled in worksheet.

I apologize in advance for the Danish subtitles on this. Some movies are more difficult to find than others, and I have to take what I can get.
