In order to get credit for this project you must watch the following film and submit the completed movie worksheet:

The Magnificent Medici

Florence Italy, late 15th century:By the time Lorenzo Medici took control of the wealthy Italian City State of Florence, the Medici family had been ruling the city for three generations. By the 15h century, Europe was in a position of transition from the feudal system that had been used throughout the Middle Ages to a period historians often call " the Early Modern Era", where economic, social, and political institutions begin to resemble those we are familiar with in the modern age. The Medici family represents the broader changes in Europe both by their rule and the cultural Renaissance that flourished under them. The series The Medici's: Godfathers of the Renaissance tells the story of how this family affected and created the Renaissance, and The Magnificent Medici tells the story of Lorenzo "Il Magnifico", the greatest of the Medici and patron to such artists as Botticelli, Da Vinci, and Michelangelo. Watching this film will give you a good idea of how the Renaissance changed European culture. Project Credit: In order to get credit for this film, download the movie worksheet here, fill out while watching the film, and submit the completed worksheet. This is an interesting film describing the birth of the Renaissance, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
