Freakonomics, Unit 2 Documentary

Hi All,

I found a cool film about economics that ties nicely to material covered in this unit.

Freakonomics the Movie

Want to watch a film that explains fundamentals of economics in a cool and fascinating way? Freakonomics is a book about economics written by Steven Levitt and Stephen J. Dubner that sold millions of copies and became a surprise bestseller. Because of its popularity, it was made into an excellent documentary in 2010. Watching this film would demonstrate to the viewer why this book is so popular, because the authors describe seemingly random and unconnected events then logically weave an unorthodox connection between them. This is a fascinating movie and should you choose to watch it, it would count as 2 special projects(or all 100 points) for Unit 2 since it is 90 min. If you do choose to watch this movie, I need you to download the movie worksheet from doc sharing and then call me at 208-359-2533 or message/email me so I can get you the link. I normally put the link to the movie here but I want to briefly discuss this film before I share it. Please let me know if you are interested in watching Freakonomics. I highly recommend this film for economics students.

Sincerely,

Trehal
