Vietnam, a Television History Episode 11: The End of the Tunnel

Vietnam Conflict, 1973-1975Episode 11 of Vietnam, a Television History documents the story of the Vietnam Conflict from the Cease Fire Agreement of 1973 to the fall of Saigon in 1975, the "end of the tunnel" for American involvement in Vietnam. The episode begins with the last bombing raids over Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia and covers the two years of fighting between the South Vietnamese and North Vietnamese armies, leading to the conquest of South Vietnam and the North Vietnamese goal of unification of the two nations. One often sees the dramatic footage of helicopters evacuating people from the roof of the American Embassy in Saigon during its fall, and this is included here in addition to the thoughts of many American leaders who were involved in the Vietnam Conflict and/or who helped the South Vietnamese government in its last days. This episode wraps up the series. Project Credit: To get credit for watching this film, download the attached worksheet and submit the filled out worksheet. This is an excellent series and I hope you enjoy this film as much as I did. Please let me know if you have any questions.
