Civil War Unit 2 Live Class: Strategy and Casualties in the Civil War

Strategy and Casualties in the Civil War

I will be hosting a live class at 1:00 pm MT on Thu 10-15, on the following topic: Strategy and Casualties in the Civil War. 1862 taught the nation how costly the war was going to be in terms of casualties. Shiloh, Antietam, and Bull Run produced staggering casualties, and were previews of the battles to come. Why were these battles so costly in terms of human life? The primary reason is that the generals of the Civil War used strategies that were outdated by the time the war began. In this live class, we'll discuss this idea and students attending will walk away with a good idea of why the Civil War battles produced such a staggering death toll.  To get into this class please click the following link: Trehal's Live Office/Classroom
