Unit 1 Review Class, 10-5

Post date: Sep 19, 2011 7:52:43 PM

Hi All,

Want help preparing for the Unit 1 Test? Cohort 2 students in this class seem to be nearing the end of the unit so I have decided to host a live class at 1:00am MT on Wednesday, 10-5 at the following link: http://tinyurl.com/Trehal-s-Office. I have two purposes for doing this class: 1.) to help prepare students for the test and projects within the class, and 2.) To sum up the unit by presenting the “story” of what happened in this unit. Without the story, history can be a series of meaningless events, dates, names, etc. When you can recognize the story in history, then this subject helps you understand the world you live in today, and the Unit Review classes in this course are my attempt at helping you see this story. In addition to preparing you for the unit test, attendance in this class counts for 50/100 points toward your Unit 1 Special Project. I hope to see you in class on Wednesday.

If you were unable to attend the live version of this class you may still get credit by watching the recording and answering the following question: What picture did I use on my slideshow when I discussed the threat early farmers faced from nomadic raiders? To get credit for watching the recording, put the answer to this question and the date you watched the recording into your Unit 1 Special Project Assignment. You can watch the recording by clicking on the following link:

Sincerely,

Trehal
