Here's an awesome American Experience film that covers the Great Depression and a major aspect of Roosevelt's New Deal.
The Civilian Conservation Corps: American Experience
Ever wondered what it was like to live during the Great Depression? The Civilian Conservation Corps is an excellent episode of PBS's American Experience that documents the story of one of the most important organizations to be created in the Great Depression, told by men who were part of the CCC in the 1930's. It is an excellent show, and unlike many of the documentaries I post to this site, rather than being depressing it's uplifting.
