Welcome:
Welcome to my virtual classroom! I have been a teacher for twelve years and have enjoyed creating and sharing curriculum all throughout my career. Two years ago, I learned how to create a website using googlesites, and ever since then I have been slowly migrating curricular materials to this website. If you are a student who loves history, a teacher, or someone looking for history materials, please feel free to use what you find here, that is what the site is for.
Basically, this site consists of unit key terms, essay assignments, primary sources, recorded lectures, and historical documentaries. To find the material you are looking for, find the appropriate course of study and open up the unit on the appropriate era. If you are just looking for movies, you can go to documentaries or use the links within the course units. Enjoy!
How to use this site:
The courses I currently teach are listed in alphabetical order on the navigation bar to the left. Note that each course has a small inverted triangle to the left of the name. To reach course-specific sub-pages, you can either click the course name and use links on the course main page, or you can click the triangle to open up the all the units and click directly on the unit link.
In addition to courses and units, there are unit live class pages and a documentary page, where you can directly access the lectures and documentaries that are linked on the course unit pages. Last but not least, one of the best features of a Google site is the search option. If you want to find something particular, type what you're looking for in the search box and it will show you where on the site to find it.
For Students and Parents:
This website represents my virtual classroom and complements everything you find in OdysseyWare. All the courses I teach as well as instructional units are housed on this site and there are several places where your OW courses provide links to this classroom. The course main pages each host a calendar that shows assignment due dates as well as unit completion dates; the unit pages all have a unit overview, the key terms for the unit, the essay topic(s) and links for films, primary sources, and lectures. If you want to get email notifications of important dates, please read the instructions on the course calendars. As always, please contact me if you cannot find something you're looking for.
