God in America 6: Of God and Caesar
American National political arena, 1980's: Have you ever wondered how party platforms are formed or how morality can influence politics? God in America is a 6 part series done by PBS Frontline that describes the story of religion in America from the beginning of our nation to the present time. Of God and Caesar is the final episode, and deals with politics and religion in the US from the late 1970's to the election of President Obama. This is mostly the story of the "religious right" and the Republican party from 1980-2004, and I chose to include it here because I think it does a great job explaining act.
