The Century, America's Time is a series done by ABC in the 1990's that tells the story of the twentieth century, a century dominated by technology, destruction, and a time when America became the world's greatest economic and political power. "Homefront" documents the War Effort, or the civilian side of participation in WWII. This episode highlights the draft of 1940, rationing, American industry during WWII, and the many ways that Americans on the homefront helped support the GI's serving overseas.
