The 2022 pep rally was one to remember! The event introduced the DHS student pride to the freshman class and allowed everyone to come together to watch fun games and student run performances. This year, Myrah Val and Sean Molloy led the student body in spirit.
The rally began with booming cheers led by Mr.Medeiros, each grade attempting to outshine the other in pride and cheers. Shortly after was a great performance from the band, followed by the cheerleaders performance. Several senior football players joined in on their stunts, which made for an incredibly entertaining show!
A relay race came next. Students had to spin in a circle several times then excel forward to their partner. The freshmen were victorious in this round.
Finally, an intense game of musical chairs closed out the pep rally. Several students competed in a tough round of competitive chairs- leaving 3 participants. Isabel Solorzano, Eyram Kplorfia, and Kevin Cronin all battled strongly for the final two chairs. Ultimately, Kevin Cronin was victorious, gaining another win for the senior class.
After the performances, the games began! The rally started off with the infamous tug of war, beginning with freshman versus seniors. Seniors won, and then faced the juniors, whom they also defeated. The staff put up a strong fight against the seniors, but they still won, awarding them with the winners of tug-of-war.
