Mirror: What classes do you teach?
Chase: I am currently teaching 2 sections of Fundamentals of Algebra and Geometry as well as one section of Algebra CP2
M: How long have you been teaching?
C: I have been teaching since I started college 5 years ago, but this is the first High School classroom I have taught other than Student Teaching Placements
M: Where have you taught before?
C: Mostly schools in Maine. I have worked with students who were working towards their GED as well as a High School and a Middle School
M: Where did you go to college?
C: University of Maine Orono
M: What do you like most about teaching?
C: I love getting students excited about learning and the community that is formed around the school I teach at
M: Where are you from?
C: Milton, MA
M: What are your hobbies?
C: I used to play video games competitively. Now I usually go on hikes to new places and travel.
M: What are your pet peeves in the classroom?
C: Students using their phones the wrong way for class! Do not check your Instagram in my class!
M: What do you like about Dedham?
C: The location is very close to home so the community is similar to that of what I grew up with.
M: What inspired you to become a teacher?
C: I like helping people, and being able to help students learn is a big motivation for me to be a teacher.
M: What is your favorite movie?
C: Hellboy. The old version not the new one
M: What is your favorite book?
C: The Count of Monte Christo
M: Favorite quote?
C: “Whenever a meeting comes a parting is sure to follow, but that parting need not last forever. If a parting is to last an eternity or a short while? Well, that is only for you to decide….”

C: I plan to! I would love to be more involved in extra-curricular activities

C: Spotify
M: Dunks or Starbucks?
C: Dunks every time
M: How do you take your coffee?
C: French Vanilla Iced extra cream and sugar
M: Favorite sports team?
C: The Patriots
M: What is your greatest accomplishment?
C: I rowed in the Head of the Charles on my High School rowing team
M: What jobs did you do before teaching?
C: Camp Counselor, Education Enrichment Instructor, Cafeteria Server, Cafeteria Breakfast Cook, Tutor, Recess Aid, and Building Sub
