On February 23, season three of Outer Banks was released on Netflix. There was a lot of anticipation and excitement surrounding the release due to the execution of the last two seasons, and the popularity of the mysterious and action-packed teen drama.
The season starts off with the Pogues: John B (Chase Stokes), JJ (Rudy Pankow), Kiara (Madison Bailey), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), and the newest addition, Cleo (Carlacia Grant), stranded on a island after they jumped off Ward Cameron’s (Charles Esten) boat. The Pogues have lost everything, but they still have each other, which is apparently all they needed. They name their island Poguelandia and are as happy as could be in their situation. Soon enough they hear a plane. Luckily, the plane notices them and they are able to leave the island.
Then the drama begins.
Season 3 was remarkably different from the others. The chemistry between the Pogues felt off throughout each episode. This may be due to the personal change and growth of the cast. It also felt somewhat forced and chaotic at times. That being said, there were many scenes throughout the season that were full of emotion, and the plot twists and betrayals kept me interested most of the time.
As far as the ending is concerned, it was definitely unexpected and will throw you for a loop when you see it. Enjoy!
