Mirror: What classes do you teach?

Rich: Bridge Math and Science.


M: How long have you been teaching?

R: Almost 10 years!


M: Where have you taught before?

R: Cambridge Public Schools and The Guild for Human Services.


M: What jobs did you do before teaching?

R: Outdoor Educator.


M: Where did you go to college?

R: UMass Amherst.


M: What do you like most about teaching?

R: The students!


M: Where are you from?

R: Natick.


M: What are your hobbies?

R: Hiking.


M: What are your pet peeves in the classroom?

R: Tapping.


M: What do you like about Dedham?

R: All the students and faculty have been very welcoming.


M: What inspired you to become a teacher?

R: I fell into it! I began working as a teaching assistant and fell in love with teaching.


M: What is your favorite movie?

R: Star Wars.


M: What is your favorite book?

R: The Shining.


M: Favorite quote?

R: “The best views come after the hardest climb.”


M: What was the last song you downloaded or CD you bought?

R: Flogging Molly “Anthem”.


M: What sets you apart from other teachers?

R: Even by teacher standards I drink a lot of coffee.


M: Will you be involved in any extracurricular activities?

R: We'll see!

R: YouTube.

R: Dunkin.

R: Black.


M: Favorite sports team?

R: Bruins.


M: What is your greatest accomplishment?

R: 2,200 mile hike of the Appalachian Trail.
